Dentist Referral Sources

The appointment request forms on your web portal include a question about how the patient found your portal. It’s important for you to track this information because it lets you know what’s working and what’s not.

On this page you can identify all of your current methods of marketing your dental practice. The items you select here will appear in the drop box on your web portal forms.

To view the results of each of your marketing efforts, go to the “Reports/Lead Tracking” section in the left sidebar.

The “Referral Sources” area in the “Practice Locations” section is a valuable tool for tracking the success of various marketing efforts.

When a patient visits your web portal and makes a request for an appointment or for more information, they are asked, “How did you hear about us?” In the “Referral Sources” area, you just list all of the choices for that location, and patients select from these choices in drop-down menu.

Your location’s Referral Sources are listed on the left. Just use the arrow key to select suggestions from the right-hand side of the page. You can click “New Source” to add your own; just click the pencil icon to edit it. Plus, delete items with the trash can icon, and use the arrow buttons at the button to re-order your list.

For every appointment request, you’ll know where that patient learned about you. Seeing which sources bring in the most new patients will help you make quantitatively smart decisions about your marketing budget.
